Lavender Lemon Shortbread
Time for an edible Lavender recipe to compliment my series on 5 ways to use lavender from your garden.
Butter, lemon and lavender all come together in this delicious cookie! But don’t let the sound of this recipe fool you, it isn’t complicated at all.
The recipe is so simple, all you need is:
1 package of shortbread mix
Rind of one lemon
2 Tablespoons of lavender flowers
1 1/4 cup of butter
Follow the instructions on the shortbread package and whip the butter until smooth.
Whip in the lemon rind and lavender flowers. Slowly add the shortbread mix to the butter until it is a nice crumb.
Press into a pan and bake for 30 min at 375* or until light brown.
The whole house will smell utterly divine while these bake and the flavor is amazing!
Just like that, you have a very decadent treat. Who knew fancy could be this easy?
